Perfect recipe for kids

Create these three snack jars, including Yogurt Parfait, Hummus Veggies and Pita Chips, and Nut Butter Celery and Pretzel Rods. Make them on your own or with your kids as a fun after school activity.

Directions

1) Yogurt Parfait

Ingredients

  • 2 cups WF Honey Greek Style Yogourt
  • 1 cup WF Almond Honey Granola
  • 1 cup fresh berries

Directions

  1. add ½ cup of yogourt to mason jar
  2. top with a small handful of fresh berries
  3. pour granola over top until jar is full
  4. enjoy now, or tuck into the fridge for easy snacking later!

2) Hummus, Veggies and Pita Chips

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup WF roasted garlic hummus
  • 4 mini cucumber
  • 2 medium carrot
  • 1 bell pepper
  • pita chips

Directions

  1. slice cucumber, carrot, and bell pepper into sticks about 1cm across, roughly the length of your jar
  2. add 2 Tbsp of hummus to bottom of mason jar
  3. arrange veggie sticks and pita chips to fill jar
  4. enjoy now, or tuck into the fridge for easy snacking later!

3) Nut Butter, Celery and Pretzel Rods

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup WF almond butter or peanut butter
  • 4 stalks celery
  • 12 pretzel rods

Directions

  1. slice celery into sticks about 1cm across, roughly the length of your jar
  2. cut or break pretzel rods in half
  3. add 2 Tbsp of nut butter to bottom of mason jar
  4. fill one half of jar with celery sticks and the other with pretzel rods
  5. enjoy now, or tuck into the fridge for easy snacking later!

Tips & Tricks

  • Pita chips are crispest when they don’t absorb too much moisture from the hummus and veggies, so if you plan to store your hummus jars in the fridge for an extended period of time, keep pita chips separate until serving time.
  • These measurements are tailored to 1 cup mason jars – please adjust accordingly for larger or smaller jars.
